The iRead Program is designed to ensure that all students are effective users of ideas and information for both recreation and lifelong learning.
Our Goal
The goal of this program is to ignite interest in reading by reluctant readers in the middle grades. The program is designed to include and allow participation by all middle school students. The program will focus specifically on the reluctant readers to aid in the improvement of their grades. Improving their grades would then lead to better overall test scores. The plan is designed to help students appreciate the value of information that comes from books, periodicals, and technology.
